Pump Casing –
Cast Iron
This pump casing was damaged where one of the bores gave way, with the
thrust surface corroded, the expensive casting was likely to be scrapped.
After developing a repair method, the bore was repaired, the rust was
machined off removing less than 1mm to recover the sealing surface and
repaired the bore to original spec.
